Last month, our Vision Science students took a trip to Santa Cruz!

On February 24th, a group of Vision Science PhD students and postdoctoral fellows took a trip to Santa Cruz for a social retreat. Students enjoyed the beautiful sunny weather, hiked along Four Mile Beach, played volleyball at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, created and played a game of Vision Science jeopardy, and visited the Mystery Spot to experience an optical illusion considered to be a gravitational anomaly! The trip was organized by Vision Science students Sonali Singh, Etchi Ako, Alexander Belsten, and JT Pirog; with some help from our Communications Coordinator on staff, Liza Shevchuk.

A special thank you to everyone who purchased a candy apple on Valentine’s Day (handmade by our students) in support of the Vision Science Student Retreat. This trip would have not been possible without the support of our Optometry & Vision Science community – thank you!
