Registration for the Bay Area Vision Research Day is now open!
The Bay Area Vision Research Day (BAVRD) is a one-day research conference devoted to bringing the vision research community of the Bay Area together in order to present and to discuss new and exciting findings in the fields of ophthalmology, optometry, biology, neuroscience, visual psychophysics, and computer vision. What distinguishes BAVRD from other conferences is that it is primarily organized and run by graduate students from the Vision Science Graduate Group at the University of California, Berkeley. This year marks the 30th annual BAVRD.

We are excited to announce a call for submissions for the BAVRD 2018 “Blink-of-an-Eye” lightning talk competition. The Blink-of-an-Eye talks should explain your research in a concise and compelling way. We will select 6 talks to present during the BAVRD program. Lightning talks will be 5 minutes long and number of slides is limited to 5. Your talk should be aimed toward academic professionals but not specifically those in your exact field. For submission, please use the registration button below to send your slide, and speaking notes or a video of your speech. The final winner will be selected at the BAVRD conference by a jury of your peers, and there will be a $75 Amazon gift card and a gift card for the UC Berkeley Eye Care Center to the top speaker.
