Morgan McClure (she/her) is a student affairs professional who is passionate about supporting students as they pursue graduate-level education and navigate the challenges of academic life. She is originally from New Hampshire, and moved out to the Bay Area in 2021. She earned her B.A. in International Studies from Kenyon College, and a Certificate in Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration from UC Berkeley Extension. Prior to joining the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science, she spent four years on the Student Services team at Hult International Business School on both the Boston and San Francisco campuses.
As the Assistant Director of Student Affairs for the OD program, Morgan looks forward to building community and celebrating the successes of the students in the Optometry program. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, taking care of her houseplants, or searching for treasure at the local thrift stores.
Major Areas of Responsibility (OD Program): campus wide resources, student organization advising and support (in conjunction with the LEAD center), student crisis, partnerships with campus constituents, including Berkeley International Office & Scholarships & Financial Aid, major departmental events, oversight of student workers, student affairs and advocacy initiatives, student leave of absences and withdrawals, ASCO Student Affairs Officer.
