Dr. Jeremy Shumaker received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Since graduating, he has remained connected to the school working in the Clinical Research Center and as an Associate Clinical Professor. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Berkeley in 2007 and has more than 17 years of experience working as a private practice clinician and educator with special interest in vision therapy for learning-related vision problems, sports vision performance enhancement, and concussion rehabilitation. He is also collaborating on various research projects in sports vision and performance, and concussion-related vision rehabilitation. As Clinic Chief of Sports Vision at Cal, he mentors 3rd and 4th year optometry interns and serves patients referred from the Tang Student Health Center, Cal Athletics, UCSF/Benioff Children’s Hospital, Stanford, professional sports teams, and other health care professionals throughout the bay area and beyond.
