About Dr. Eng

Dr. Emily Eng is an optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care, including diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Her diverse experience includes caring for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and other ocular conditions.  Eng earned her doctor of optometry degree at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. She completed a residency at the Jesse Brown Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Chicago. During her residency, she received advanced training in comprehensive eye care – including ocular disease diagnosis and therapy, specialty contact lens fitting and eye exams for patients with low vision. Prior to returning to the Bay Area, she provided comprehensive eye care and co-management at an ophthalmology practice on Oahu. Eng is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has a part time appointment at UCSF providing direct patient care. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and hiking with her pug.
