David Rogers is the Director of Facilities Operations and Research Support for the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science. Since graduating from UC Berkeley in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, David has built a rewarding career in construction and facilities management.
He served as a construction and facilities engineer officer in the United States Army and U.S. Army Reserve and earned a certificate in Construction Management from the UC Berkeley Extension. David has also performed estimating and project management duties for general contractors on public and private contracts in Northern California.
Over the past 12 years, David has focused on providing excellent service and developing his facilities management expertise at QB3-Berkeley in Stanley Hall, lab real estate company BioMed, and the nuclear power startup Kairos Power in Alameda.
In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his wife, Jill, and their three children – Lyla, Lucy, and Ella – while making the most of weekends with friends and family in the beautiful Bay Area. He’s also an enthusiastic supporter of Cal Athletics. Go Bears!
