Introducing a new clinic that will address the visual needs of patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Our clinical services continue to expand with the launch of the Parkinson’s Disease Vision Clinic, a new program dedicated to supporting patients living with Parkinson’s disease. Spearheaded by Dr. Angela Shahbazian, this multidisciplinary clinic brings together expertise from the Primary Care, Binocular Vision, Dry Eye, and Low Vision clinics with the goal of improving visual outcomes and enhancing quality of life for our patients. The development of the clinic was also supported by the guidance and leadership of our Clinic Director, Dr. Lillian Wang.

Faculty involved in the clinic include Drs. Debora Lee Chen, Jennifer Fisher, Valery Medina, Meredith Whiteside, Marelna Chu, and Cheyenne Chinea, along with our Primary Care/Community Health Resident, Dr. Sophia Lam. Together, the team provides coordinated, patient-centered care tailored to the visual challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Patients receive a comprehensive evaluation of visual function and ocular health, including assessment of eye alignment and coordination, dry eye, and other ocular conditions commonly associated with Parkinson’s disease. This integrated approach supports timely diagnosis and targeted management to better address patients’ visual needs and daily functioning.
