We are proud to announce that Reverend Dr. Clyde Oden Jr. has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 Peter E. Haas Public Service Award!
Mrs. Peter E. Haas established the Peter E. Haas Public Service Award on the occasion of the 80th birthday of her husband with the aim to recognize an alum of our university who, through their personal efforts, has made a significant contribution to the public good in the United States. The award is intended to recognize activity at the grassroots level and to illustrate the impact that an individual can have on society through creative efforts toward positive social change.
The award includes a cash prize of $30,000, a gold medallion, and an additional $30,000 to be donated to a charity of the recipient’s choice. Dr. Oden accepted his award at this spring’s commencement ceremony, which took place on Saturday, May 13th. Congrats, Dr. Oden!
