Last week Saturday Berkeley Optometry held its Interview Day for our prospective Class of 2024. Our Interview Day is very unique because the whole school closes to give full attention to our interviewees.
Interview Day ran from 9AM to 5PM for the interviewees and from 8AM to ~7PM for our amazing volunteers. Some of our student volunteers are photographed above. This year, we had 110 interviewees on-site, 48 first year volunteers, 14 second year volunteers, 30 student interviewers, 30 faculty interviewers, 8 team leads, and 10 team activity facilitators!
Interviewees had the opportunity to take a tour of the school and clinic, have lunch with current students, sit in on a lecture by Dr. Mika Moy, listen to a financial aid presentation, and complete their assessments – traditional interview, MMIs, essays, and team activity. It was a very busy day!
Special thanks to everyone who made Interview Day a success again this year! We had a great time getting to know our prospective students. Thank you for making the trip to interview with us! We look forward to selecting the Class of 2024!
