This semester, the Unlearn Book Club hosted a book club meeting featuring The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett, which was read and discussed by both OD and PhD students. The event was a collaborative initiative between the DEIB Vision Science Student Government and OD representatives.
In addition, we are pleased to share that our DEIB Project proposal, led by the VS student government, has been approved for a $5,000 award from the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Student Services and Fees (CACSSF) Discretionary Fund. This funding will help support our ongoing efforts to foster a more inclusive and engaged academic community!
