Our speakers will provide an overview of neuro-ophthalmological emergencies, a neuro-optometric grand rounds session, a session on visual fields, and an update on strabismus for the primary care optometrist. This course reviews the optometric presentation of neurological conditions including myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinsons disease using a grand rounds case presentation format. The variability in case presentations will elaborate on the vast clinical presentations each condition has, and what role the optometrist plays in co-managing these diseases.

Continuing Education Credits
Four CE hours will be available for the full, COPE-accredited Berkeley In Focus Series (COPE accreditation pending). This program will take place via Zoom webinar. Attendees will be able to interact with the speaker and ask questions in real-time via Zoom video conference. The program will be considered a “Synchronous Virtual” course format by COPE per their guidelines, and post-course tests will not be required.
This activity meets the live, interactive CE coursework requirements of the California State Board of Optometry. Depending on your state board requirements, the “Synchronous Virtual” course format type may or may not be counted as ‘Live’ credit. Attendees should verify with their state board if this type of online, interactive webinar will count towards live CE credit.
Please note: Partial attendance of a COPE course does not count towards COPE CE.
