Campus Location
The Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science is located in Minor Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. Minor Hall is located in the eastern edge of campus on Optometry Lane, just west of the Haas School of Business.

Public Transportation
Rail transportation is provided throughout much of the Bay Area by the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system. The nearest station is the Berkeley Station, located at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and Center Street, on the west side of campus. This is a 15-20 minute walk to Minor Hall. AC Transit provides bus service to and from San Francisco and portions of the East Bay, including Berkeley.
Driving Directions
UC Berkeley is close to many Bay Area freeways, including I-80, I-580, I-880, Hwy 13, and Hwy 24. You can connect to these freeways from I-5 and US 101. The directions below begin when you have reached the East Bay from points north, south, and east.
Turn left into Oxford Street at the western edge of the campus.
Turn right onto Hearst Avenue.
Turn right Piedmont Avenue.
Turn Left on Optometry Lane.
Turn right onto Telegraph Avenue.
Turn right onto Channing Way.
Turn left at the Piedmont Avenue roundabout, aka Channing Circle.
Make a U-turn after 0.3 miles. Look for the Bear statue on the right.
Turn right onto Optometry Lane.
Keep right and exit at Martin Luther King, Jr. Way toward 51st Street.
At the stop sign, turn right onto 52nd Street.
At the second traffic light, turn left onto Telegraph Avenue.
Turn right onto Channing Way.
Turn left at the Piedmont Avenue roundabout, aka Channing Circle
Make a U-turn after 0.3 miles. Look for the Bear statue on the right.
Turn right onto Optometry Lane.
The Loop Golf Cart
The Loop is a golf cart that provides intra-campus rides for eligible faculty, staff, and students with disabilities on a first-come, first-served basis. This service was created to assist persons with mobility disabilities (including temporary disability as a result of injury) and visual impairments. The Loop only operates on the core campus.

Parking
Street parking may be difficult to find and is limited to two hours. The nearest parking lot is the Stadium Parking Garage at 2175 Piedmont Avenue, which is adjacent to Memorial Stadium. When exiting the garage to the left, you’ll see a bear statue. Cross the street heading west, turn left again for about 30 feet, and take a right and walk down Optometry Lane. Minor Hall is at the bottom of the hill.
