Live and work in Northern Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley — just outside of Shenandoah National Park! 4 Day Work Week. Own this Optometry practice in 5-7 years!
A well-connected, well-respected Optometry practice is looking for an Optometrist who wants to provide full scope of care in this beautiful area of Virginia.
We are in a county of 24K people, and we pull patients from outside the county. We are booked out for 2 months!
• Expect to see 15-20 patients / day, initially, with a wide range of cases, such as primary care, corrective lenses, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Work 4 days / week and 2 Saturday mornings / month.
• We have an extensive network of specialists to refer cases to.
• Great mentor!
• Fantastic support staff and technicians with low turnover – Some of the staff have been with the practice for over 25 years!
• Optical shop
• We are on the auxiliary staff of the local hospital – We are the only eye doctor in the area.
• We use state-of-the-art equipment and currently have SLT and YAG lasers waiting for the State of Virginia to give us final approval to use it.
A competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered and the free use of a townhome for the first year will be offered as you get settled in the community.
The owning Optometrist would like to find a doctor who is willing to explore this wonderful opportunity and consider a long-term fit. If it is an opportunity you want to pursue, he is willing to let you earn shares of the practice so that you can own it outright in 5-7 years with no out of pocket expense.

Shenandoah National Park and Lake Arrowhead are nearby where you can enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, boating, biking, and even horseback riding on the many trails. Tourism and agriculture provide a healthy economy for the area. It is a fantastic place to raise a family and if you want to experience the big city or catch a flight, Dulles International Airport is 1.5 hours away and Washington DC is less than 2 hours away.
