A very ethical, highly patient focused Ophthalmology/Optometry group in Lancaster, Pennsylvania is recruiting a Medical / Primary Care Optometrist for its growing team.
We offer full service eyecare from routine eye exams, contact lenses and eyeglasses to medical eye examinations and post-operative evaluations. Our practice consists of 4 doctors, including 2 Optometrists who have worked here for 20 years. Our ophthalmologists perform cataract, retina and glaucoma surgery. As an addition to our team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into a well-established, high-volume, high quality mature practice with a pleasant patient population.
We operate two exceptionally well-equipped offices. Equipment and Instrumentation includes: SLT and YAG lasers, OCT, HRT, Canon fundus camera, B-Scan, Konan ECC, NIdek topography, Optos, IOL Master, an OR suite for in-office procedures and optical shops.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Perform vision tests and analyze results
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and medications
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
• Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases such as diabetes and refer patients to our physicians as needed
• Promote eye health by counseling patients
• Support our technical staff who provide patient contact lens training
