Congratulations to 4th-year student, Cindy Lam, for winning the ABB Optical 2021 Optometry Student Challenge! Cindy’s poster was on “Post-LASIK Ortho-K Fitting: Flattening An Oblate Cornea.”

Each of the winners will receive $1,500 as a travel grant to attend and will be recognized at the 2022 Global Specialty Lens Symposium, which is the top national conference for contact lenses that features industry-leading speakers. Honorable mentions will receive a prize of $250.
To participate in the challenge, students submitted an abstract for a student-based case report or research study about contact lenses. The top five abstract authors then had to turn their submission into a poster and present it to the judges virtually. Three winners and two honorable mentions were selected.
