As a group, members endeavor to:
1. Foster development of individual libraries.
2. Encourage cooperative activities among the member libraries.
3. Develop mechanisms for improving access to vision information.
4. Develop services, particularly reference and bibliographic services
for all individuals having frequent vision information needs.
5. Promote standards for academic vision science libraries.
6. Assist new vision science librarians.
