General Meeting (SAAO), 2006
Our next general meeting will be on April 5, 2006. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from Mike May, founder of the Sendero Group, which makes accessible Location Information and Navigation tools for the visually impaired. He has been blind since age 3 following a chemical accident and had a cornea stem cell transplant in 1999, which restored some of his vision. He also holds the world speed record for downhill skiing by a blind person. His talk will include his perspective on the world, both pre-and post-transplant and introduction to his GPS technology.
