Research Interests

Pattern vision, abnormal visual development

Dr. Orel-Bixler's research, teaching, and clinical interests include: pediatric optometry; infant vision development; visual evoked potentials  (VEP); visual acuity; the detection and treatment of amblyopia; clinical examination procedures in infants, children and patients with multiple disabilities; pediatric low vision; binocular vision; photorefraction; and vision screening. BCSDP trainees would have access to mentored training in these areas.
