Clinical Faculty Opening: Berkeley Optometry Clinic in Atwater, CA

Practicing optometrist needed to join the Clinical Faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry for a position at Castle Family Health Centers in Atwater, CA.We are looking for a part-time TPA-certified doctors who are passionate about patient care and the profession and are willing to train optometric interns. Financial remuneration will not likely reflect the dedication of the individuals who accept the positions. Faculty Recruitment Plan: Berkeley Optometry

In August 2006, the Faculty Recruitment Committee developed a rationale and plan for the recruitment of 15 new faculty colleagues to replace an estimated 10 faculty retirements over the next 10 years (by 2016). The plan includes additional faculty needed to meet the goals of maintaining and advancing Berkeley Optometry's preeminence in training/teaching and research and to approach the faculty-to-student ratio required by a twenty-first century obligation to train optometrists and future generations of optometry faculty.
