Room Use Policy and Scheduling Calendar
 


The School of Optometry has very few rooms available for demonstrations, seminars, presentations, and meetings.

Lecture Hall Rm. 100: Scheduled by the Clinic Administration Office (510-642-0945).

Faculty Lounge: Room 355 Minor can be reserved for small group meetings by calling the Business Office at 510-642-0229.

Library Conference Rooms: These rooms can be used for group meetings. Call the Fong Library's front desk at 510-642-2010 to make reservations.

Other impromptu uses by optometry/vision science faculty/students

How to Reserve/Schedule a Room:

Go to the following links to see if and when the room is available. 

Room Calendars

If there is something scheduled at the time you need the room, you may choose to negotiate with the contact person named on the calendar, subject to the above mentioned priorities.

Make a room request with the following information:

(1) E-mail: student_affairs@optometry.berkeley.edu

  • In the "subject" line put:
    • ROOM RES – [room #] – [group or course #] – [desired date]
      (For example: ROOM RES –- 395 – BAOC - 10/22/05)

(2) In the e-mail list, indicate:

  • your name, your contact phone number, and email address 
  • room, date, and time requested (from x – y time)
  • estimated size of group
  • name of group, and/or the faculty-in-charge
  • name of the event

Note: Your confirmation will be e-mailed to you.
