Application Overview: Reapplicant-Status

This page under construction. Please re-visit by mid-July as we are currently updating our information to be aligned with the OptomCAS application process:

Alert arrow A special message for those applying during the 2009-2010 admissions cycle for Fall 2010 entry into an OD program:

Starting on July 15, 2009, applicants for optometric study in the United States and Puerto Rico will use a common application service, OptomCAS. By utilizing a common application service, prospective students will file one application that can be sent to multiple schools and colleges of optometry. The Admissions and Student Affairs Office is thrilled to be a participant OptomCAS school as we strive to make the application process more efficient and convenient for you. More information can be found here:

http://www.opted.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=349

PLEASE NOTE:

Reapplicants will need to apply through OptomCAS and that Berkeley Optometry will no longer hold application materials over from one cycle to the next. Therefore, if you are reapplying for the 2009-2010 admissions cycle, transcripts and letters of recommendation submitted to our office in a previous application cycle will not be considered; all transcripts and letters of recommendation need to be submitted to and processed by OptomCAS.

Similarly, for applicants who did not fully complete the application process, we do not maintain files for incomplete applicants and purge incomplete records at the end of each admissions cycle.
